- Long-distance trips are around 20% cheaper than under the old system.

Peak vs. Off-Peak Travel
While Belgian domestic trains do not use airline-style surge pricing, travel time does affect your fare if you hold a Train+ subscription card:

- Adults (26β64): Full standard fare applies. Train+ is recommended for regular off-peak commuters.
Note: Many previous ticket types (Youth Ticket, Senior Ticket, Standard Multi 10-trip pass, etc.) have been discontinued as of October 2025 and replaced by the new fare structure.
